Holiday in Rotorua!

On labour weekend RKR (Ruakawa Ki Runga, a Rugby League team) went to Rotorua for a rugby league tournament🏉. There were three teams from RKR, Rohe, Waka and a girls team. Rohe is the 🅰️ team and Waka is the 🅱️ team. We stayed at Devenwood motel.

It was a four hour drive from Otaki to Rotorua. when we got there and finished unpacking our stuff we really just chilled and played in the pool and kept doing manu's! 

The next day was the first day of playing. I was ball boy for Rohe and Tee boy for Waka. there were 21 teams in waka and 6 teams in Rohe. Rohe and waka had to games on the first day. Rohe won both of their games waka one their first game and lost their second, it was a close game though. The next day was the last day of games Rohe had there semi-finals and maybe Finals. in the semi-finals they were versing Waikato moari. In the first half Waikato moari were winning, but in the second half Rohe crushed them! Waka lost their first but then won their second game by default. Finals time! Rohe was versing kotahitanga in the finals. it was the same final as last year.

 The game didn't start so good with the kick of going straight out of bounds. But in about the 18th minute we scored right next to the post. But that wasn't the only try we scored the first half, we scored two more! at half time the score was 14-0 to Ruakawa Ki Runga. The second has started. and you know what scored another 4 try's in the whole second half. You know what means we won! we are back to back champions🏆!

overall the tournament was great fun, what I liked most was the haka at the start of each and every game we played. It was very Enjoyable 👍👌

Sport Is Outstanding

Sport is an physical activity. Different sports contain different objects. Some sport games contain contact.Sports is outstanding because there are a lot of different choices. Like Rugby League, Rugby, Netball, Soccer, Touch, Softball, Baseball, Canoe Polo, Swimming, Basketball and more! Sports is great fun for the whole family, and a wonderful exercise! There are a lot of different competitions in one sport

Team Sports
Team sports is an activity that includes a group of individuals. They are on the same team, working together to accomplish their goal. There are a lot of different numbers of individuals In a Team. In team sports communication is awesome to use, while playing team sports.

Individual sport
There are many different individual sport opportunity. Individual sports including Tennis, Weightlifting, Track and Field, Golf, Boxing, Swimming,Gymnastics, Skiing, Bowling, Wrestling, Table Tennis Badminton,Archery and Cycling. As you can see there are a lot of individual sports that you can Play.

As you can see there are a lot of Reasons why Sports is Outstanding. You can play sports everyday Indoor or Outdoor, sports is a great exercise!

Waitohu school Fancy Dress

Fancy Dress Dance!

On Wednesday Waitohu school was performing their fancy dress dance. The dance was located at Ngā Purapura (Ōtaki). There were a lot of  awesome costumes last night. Like Marshmello, Captain America, Pennywise, Donald Duck, Harry Potter, cowboys, ‘Holes’ characters, Black Panther, Superman, armyman and sports players. I was dressed up as team U.S.A (a basketball team).

 It started at 6։30. The first dance was by Room 1 and 11 dancing to theJiffy Mixer.  The next classes to perform were Rooms 2 and 10 doing the Bad Hair Day it was really cool. Now it was Rooms 7 and 8 performing the Gumboot Dance. It was really funny! After the Gumboot Dance it was Room 5 and 6, my sister was in room 5, dancing to Wake Me Up. That was a great performance. Now it was time for us, Room 4, to dance to Strip the Willow. It was so fun, it was even more fun when we did it with the parents! I didn’t do it with my parents, instead I did it with my cousin Ameia. After that it was Room 12 and 3 doing the Rodeo Dance.. it was awesome!

When all the dances were finished, we all got a little tub of vanilla ice cream🍨, it was delicious! Overall the fancy dress dance was absolutely stunning. My favourite dance was Room 3 and 12 dance.

Doug Dragster

Today we are reading Doug Dragster.  Doug is the man character. One of the activites says create yourself as a car🏎️ and that is what I have done here!

Basketball Tourement!

On Thursday the 22nd, of August Waitohu Celtics🍀 had a one day basketball 🏀tournament in Levin. Our first match  up was against poroutwhao. We obliterated them 26-4. Our team had two more games straight after another. The second game was facing Levin East Hawks. It was a really tough game, we only just one by 4 points! The Waitohu Celtics easily one the 3rd game by 30 points. After that game we had time off, we sat and ate some lunch 🍱🍩🍫🍟🍔.  We were in the semi-finals versing Foxton beach.  foxton beach was a good team but in the end the Waitohu Celtics won, we were going to the Finals! In the finals we were up against Levin Hornets🐝 the game was tight, but the Hornets won, just by four points. Waitohu Celtics came 2nd. After the game they presented the trophy and also the staff presented two MVP award (most valuable player) Me and Taylor Got MVP🏅. Overall, it was very fun!👍😃
